The Emergence of Blockchain Academies in India

The blockchain is a nascent technology in India. It is very recent that the Government of the nation and the business masterminds have started taking interest in the technology. One of the greatest reasons behind imperception was lack of relevant knowledge. If the blockchain technology is to be adopted widely by the mass of India, then blockchain-based education is a must. 

A popular blockchain enthusiast from India stated, “For imparting in-depth knowledge of blockchain to the citizens, it is indispensable to have blockchain academies in India.” Not many people are aware that India houses a few academies that are dedicated to offering courses in blockchain technology. Nevertheless, the establishment of blockchain academies in the nation is a recent advancement.

Every Indian blockchain expert firmly believes that the mainstream adoption of the blockchain technology is only possible with the help of more number of blockchain academies in the nation. It is due to the hard work and sincere efforts of the blockchain fraternity that India has successfully established three blockchain academies; namely Indian Blockchain Council Academy, Kerala Blockchain Academy, and EMURGO Academy.

Kerala Blockchain Academy is the first of its kind in India, followed by Indian Blockchain Council Academy and EMURGO Academy. Kerala Blockchain Academy was established early last year. It is a joint venture between the Kerala State Government’s Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K) and globally renowned Blockchain Education Network (BEN). People with little or no experience in blockchain can join the courses to transform themselves into blockchain-skilled individuals and explore the wide array of avenues.

Indian Blockchain Council Academy envisages a world where blockchain will be adopted in every sphere of life ranging from payment system to healthcare, supply chain to law and order. Therefore, they are religiously at it while training and strengthening the blockchain ecosystem of India.

Likewise, EMURGO Academy has been recently launched in Bangalore to foster the nation’s blockchain technology space. It endeavors to train talented individuals and make them job-ready. Moreover, it will unveil an all-new dimension for the job aspirants enabling them to learn the technology and administer it in their vertical of interest.

Entrepreneurs can also be benefitted from the courses offered by the blockchain academies. They can receive the much-needed knowhow and exposure to the nascent technology and implement the knowledge in their area of work for the progression of their business.

Is cryptocurrency industry of India lagging behind?

Cryptocurrency industry of India had been flourishing until the unexpected decision from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) emerged. The RBI had directed the banking institutions to terminate transactions with the cryptocurrecy exchanges. This decision came as a shock to the cryptocurrency fraternity of India. It closed down its operations in the nation on September 28, 2018 and moved its base to Malta.
